Online booking for campsites on the Eyre Peninsula is now possible at even more of your favourite campgrounds.

Point Gibbon Campground, near Cowell on the east coast of the region, went online on 1 August following onsite works to create designated campsites.

There are 15 allocated sites, as well as overflow options at the nearby Dunes Campground and unallocated sites at Bush Campground, 1km from amenities.

They join campgrounds at Sheringa Beach and Walker’s Rock, near Elliston.

These campgrounds went online for booking in December 2021 and have been very successful, better protecting the natural environment and managing visitor numbers at these locations.

Ten allocated sites are currently available at Tommy Ruff Shoal at Sheringa, as well as unallocated sites at Trevally Shoal.

Unallocated sites are also available at Egret Nest, Hooded Plover Nest, Osprey Nest and Sandpiper Nest at Walker’s Rock, with allocated sites to be made available after works are finished in the area.

Additional campgrounds will be added to the system in the future.

And don’t forget about our national parks!

Parks SA have recently upgraded some of their campgrounds in Coffin Bay National Park, which you can book online through their website (as well as all the other parks!).
